The program for the Viexpo Virtual Export Event 2023 is starting to take form. This virtual event that promotes export and internationalization is now arranged for the third time 26.-27.1.2023. There are four themes around which the program of the coming event is built around: differentiation in digital channels, Nordic market opportunities, experiences from food export, and cluster building. In this article, focus is put on Thursday’s two themes and the speakers that are at this moment booked for them. Please note that all the sessions that are mentioned are arranged in Finnish, but you may ask questions in English.
Differentiation in digital channels – Thursday 26.1 before noon
Digital channels have in many industries an important role for business, especially when competing on international markets. Due to several competitors and other actors, it is, however, not often that easy to differentiate yourself. Take this into consideration, in this coming event we want to highlight inspiring company cases where they have been able to become successful in some specific digital channel.
TikTok is a social media platform that is becoming increasingly important as a marketing channel for companies. This is not restricted to merely consumer goods, but also B2B companies can benefit from it. A good example of this is Vilpe Oy from Korsholm. Their TikTok-channel has at the moment about 100 000 followers. Vilpe’s Marketing Manager Katarina Hellèn will tell us more about this perhaps even crazy idea to start creating content on TikTok, and what it has required from them to succeed with it.
Besides social media channels many companies are today also increasingly dependent on online sales. An own online store can be a good way to generate sales but starting one does not automatically guarantee success. To better understand what is required to get along with an online store business, we have invited the entrepreneur Heidi Hendrell as a speaker. She has the online store SporttiRakki (Dogomo Oy) that sells dog products and services, and its revenue has grown even over 40 % annually.
Nordic market opportunities – Thursday 26.1 afternoon
The Nordics have had for a long time an important role in Viexpo’s operations. We see that the Nordic markets offer now and in the future good export and internationalization possibilities for Finnish companies. At the same time, there are being developed new services with the help of which people and goods can move in the region. Regarding this, Key Account Manager Elisabet Kivimäki, Into Seinäjoki Oy, will tell us more about future possibilities for travel and logistics, with emphasis being put especially on drones and electric aircrafts.
The intention is also to include presentations about the market possibilities that are found in different Nordic countries and to discuss about the benefits that Nordic/international exhibitions offer for companies.
